Since begining of 21st century IT development have brought new forms of e-books and complex objects for renewed and enhanced user / reader experience.

These innovative cultural objects imply new challenges for preservation and conservation : how can we archive device dependent multimedia, interactive systems, or information flows? Does new data technologies open new possibilities for long-term conservation?

The IT and Preservation and Conservation Sections are sponsoring a joint session in WLIC 2020 on this important topic of Preserving complex digital objects in libraries.

We welcome you to submit proposals and to join us in Dublin to explore new borders of digital documents and push the limits of preservation best practices!
