Membership and new professionals a key strategy for Lithuanian Librarians' Association at first BSLA workshop
The first workshop for the Lithuanian Librarians' Association in the Building
Strong Library Associations programme was held January 20-21 2011 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Former IFLA President and core trainer, Claudia Lux led the workshop. More photos from the workshop can be found at the Lithuanian Librarians' Association page at Flickr.
The goal of the first workshop
is for the association's board to work on
increasing its communication to members, and creating strategies to increase the
number of members. The association is particularly interested in increasing the membership and involvement of new professionals. During the workshop, the participants worked through the module Sustaining Your Library Association.
The LLA is participating in BSLA in partnership with the Bill and Melinda
Gates Foundation Global Libraries Initiative.
More information about the Building Strong Library Associations programme
